With changing legislation within some areas of the UK, Dermace have joined with VTCT to offer their fully accredited Level 4 Certificate in Micropigmentation.
More and more councils and local authorities are tightening up their requirements for their registration, and so it's a good time to think about level 4 - even if your council is fairly lenient at this stage. The Dermace VTCT Level 4 in Micropigmentation is a recognised qualification, both in the UK and Worldwide and is seen as the highest standard you can reach with certification.
The VTCT Level 4 in Micropigmentation has a guided learning hours expectation of 169 hours. This includes a pre-study manual introducing you to the foundations of the course and some history of the industry.
The course entails an initial 5 days training at Dermace Academy, where students are guided through all aspects of Micropigmentation - from health and safety and trolley set up, to completing practical treatments on models and preparing for portfolios.
Dermace also have great prices for conversions courses if you're already a trained SPMU Tech.
There are 7 written assignments to be completed at home. Each assignment is broken down into short paragraph - answers to questions can be found in the assessment book. Your Dermace trainer will happily guide you through this process.
VTCT require 6 treatment observation assessments, 3 of which will be carried out during initial training at the centre with a further two visits for formal assessment at a later date.
The 1st assessment to be completed within 6 months of training, where the student will carry out 2 further observed treatments chosen by the Internal Quality Assurer. If competent during this assessment, the student will then make a 2nd visit within 12 months of training to carryout a final observed treatment for full certification to be achieved.
If not yet competent at any stage of the process, further visits for additional training or reassessment in that area will be required. It will not result in a "fail", just a requirement for additional training and support. As you will know, Dermace offer continual support for the entirety of your career in Semi Permanent Makeup.
The Micropigmentation Industry is very competitive, so for those wanting to stand out within the industry, the VTCT Level 4 in Micropigmentation will help to achieve this, as well as being recognised by all major insurance companies and council regulatory bodies.
It will show your potential customers that you take their health and safety seriously, and are working in conjunction with all possible regulations for their benefit. You also demonstrate your competence by virtue of the fact that you have completed assessments of your work via various examiners and industry experts - not just your training company. You also earn 36 CPD points once qualified - the highest award in our industry.
Being able to display the VTCT badge and logo on your tunic, and also your marketing materials, is seen as a real privilege. Dermace are proud to be involved with such a high-caliber governing body, to take you forward in your career.
