Spray and Pray

How do actually get started on a new social media platform, or even with a new semi permanent makeup business on social?

Well, the answer is to take a very simple first step: Spray and Pray (AKA throwing spaghetti at the wall and seeing what sticks)

Once you decide you want to enrol on permanent makeup or microblading course in the Uk, you should also start to think about your social media strategy. I think it's fair to say that you DO need to have a presence on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok etc to some degree, but in order to see what works for you, you need to try everything!

The most important thing to take away from this advice is that you must MEASURE your efforts. All of the Social Media accounts have a way to see your "metrics" - which is just a fancy term for things like;

  • when people read your posts

  • on what day

  • at what time

  • which content have they liked the most

  • which of your posts have they engaged with

All of that information is gold, and you need to pay close attention to it. Far too many people just use Social Media to "natter" about things that mean nothing to their audience. You'll know your own habits on Social Platforms - the content you seek out at thew start of the week will not be the same as at the end of the week, or the weekend.

As you get to know your audience, you can start to focus more on what your metrics are telling you is working, and less on what isn't. Pretty soon, you'll have your social media marketing down to a fine art, and your semi permanent makeup business will be starting to get more and more interest.

You have to keep on fine-tuning your efforts though, keep checking those metrics!
